Why do I need a branded business email?

Is there a free trial?
Yes. The Starter plan comes with 30 days free, no card required. You get 5 mailboxes, 10GB storage, and 15 aliases on one domain. Cancel anytime if it is not for you.
What devices and apps does it work with?
It works with everything. Outlook, Gmail app, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and any email client that supports IMAP or POP3. It runs on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Linux. You can also access your email from anywhere via webmail.
What is included in every plan?
All plans include secure SSL encryption, webmail access, integrated calendar and contacts, advanced spam filtering, IMAP and POP3 support, custom domains, auto-responders, and a powerful admin dashboard. You can upgrade or cancel at any time.
How much does it cost?
The Starter plan is R79/month (first 30 days free) with 5 mailboxes and 10GB storage. Business is R179/month with 30 mailboxes and 30GB storage across 5 domains. Agency is R349/month with 100 mailboxes and 75GB storage across 20 domains.
Do I need to own a domain name first?
Yes, you need a domain to use branded email hosting. If you already have one, you simply point the DNS records to us and you are ready to go. If you do not have one yet, you can register a domain directly through Vlake and attach it to your email hosting straight away.
How long until my email is actually working?
Once you have set up your plan and added your domain, DNS propagation typically takes up to 24 hours. After that your mailboxes are live and you can start sending and receiving. You can also access your email via webmail at mail.vlake.co.za immediately while DNS propagates.
Will my emails land in inboxes or go to spam?
For reliable inbox delivery we recommend setting up an SMTP relay. A good free option is Mailgun, which handles up to 100 emails per day with no credit card. If you do not want to set it up yourself, we will do it for you for free. Just reach out to support@vlake.co.za or open a support ticket from your dashboard.
How do I access my email?
You can access your email via webmail in any browser at mail.vlake.co.za, or through a desktop or mobile client. We recommend Thunderbird for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, and Apple Mail for iPhone. You can also use Outlook, eM Client, or any client that supports IMAP.
How do I set it up?
Choose your plan, add your domain, and create your mailboxes through the admin dashboard. We provide guided setup so you do not need any technical knowledge. If you need help at any step, our support team is available to assist.
Is my email secure?
Yes. All email is encrypted with SSL in transit and at rest. Every plan includes advanced spam filtering, virus protection, and secure authentication to keep your business communication safe.
